AI Agent Chat Build

Build a chat agent that changes how people interact with information. Trigger.dev handles the orchestration and background jobs — your solution must use Trigger.dev's chat.agent(). ClickHouse powers the real-time data layer as your primary database. Both are required — that's the point.

Who can apply?
Professional developers, 18+, residing in the US, Canada, UK, or an EU country. Solo or teams up to 5. This is an application-based event — we're looking for awesome builders
Do I need to use both tools?
Yes. ClickHouse must be your primary database, and your solution must use Trigger.dev's chat.agent() as the orchestration layer. Submissions that don't meaningfully use both will be disqualified. You'll receive free cloud credits for both upon acceptance.
What do I submit?
A demo video (YouTube max 5 minutes — skip the intro, open directly with a screen recording of your working product) plus a public GitHub repo under an MIT or Apache 2.0 license. Submitted via the official submission portal, shared on July 17.
How does the application work?
Short application via Luma. We ask about your background, prior hackathon experience, and whether you've built AI agents before. Registration closes July 16 — accepted teams are notified by email.
When should I set up my accounts?
As soon as you're accepted — before July 17. Cloud credit provisioning can take up to 48 hours, so don't wait until the build window opens.
Is there support during the event?
Yes — a panel of 15+ judges and async support channels staffed by ClickHouse and Trigger.dev engineers throughout the week. AI coding assistants like Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT are explicitly permitted and encouraged.
