These Terms ("Terms") govern your registration for and participation in the ClickHouse × Trigger.dev AI Hackathon ("Event"), co-hosted by ClickHouse, Inc. and Trigger.dev ("we", "us", "our"). By registering, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate. The Event is open to individual developers and teams of up to five (5) people. Participation is limited to certain regions; some regions are excluded for legal and compliance reasons. ClickHouse and Trigger.dev employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes. Registration is subject to application review and acceptance at our sole discretion. Accepted registrations may not be shared or transferred.
2. Registration & Applications
To participate, you must complete the application form and be accepted. We reserve the right to accept or reject any application for any reason. Accepted teams will be notified by email. Registration closes July 16, 2026. Teams must register together — partial team registrations are not accepted after the deadline.
3. Required Stack
Solutions must use ClickHouse as the primary database and must use Trigger.dev's chat.agent() as the orchestration layer. Submissions that do not demonstrably use both will be disqualified. Free cloud credits will be provided to accepted teams for this purpose.
4. Submissions
Submissions must be received via the official submission portal by midnight Anywhere on Earth (AoE), July 23, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted — the code freeze is enforced automatically and no extensions will be granted. Each submission must include: a project name and description; names and email addresses of all team members; a link to a public GitHub repository (MIT, Apache 2.0, or another permissive license pre-approved by ClickHouse); and a demo video (YouTube or Loom, max 5 minutes). By submitting, you confirm that the project is your original work, created during the hackathon build window (July 17–23, 2026).
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your submission. By entering, you grant ClickHouse and Trigger.dev a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and promote your submission and any related materials (including video demos, descriptions, and screenshots) for marketing, promotional, and community purposes, with attribution. You represent and warrant that your submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
7. Prizes
Total prize pool: EUR 10,000. Grand Prize (EUR 6,000) includes a desk setup bundle plus $2K ClickHouse Cloud credits and $2K Trigger.dev credits. Runner-up (EUR 2,000) includes a dev bundle plus $1K ClickHouse Cloud credits and $1K Trigger.dev credits. The Best OLTP + OLAP Integration bonus category (EUR 1,000) includes a premium Lego set plus $500 ClickHouse Cloud credits and $500 Trigger.dev credits. A social raffle (EUR 1,000, swag box) is open to all registered participants and drawn at the closing ceremony. All prizes are awarded in kind; no cash transfer is involved. Prize recipients may be required to complete tax documentation before disbursement. Prizes will be shipped within 30 days of the event.
8. Judging
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of 15+ judges — a combination of ClickHouse and Trigger.dev engineering leaders, senior industry practitioners, and guest judges. Judging decisions are final. We reserve the right to withhold any prize if, in our judgment, an insufficient number of qualifying submissions are received.
8. Acceptable Conduct
ClickHouse and Trigger.dev are committed to providing a harassment-free and inclusive experience for all participants, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, nationality, race, age, religion, or other protected characteristics. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. By participating, you agree to adhere to the ClickHouse Code of Conduct. We reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team whose conduct we deem inappropriate, at any time and for any reason.
9. Your Information
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information submitted during registration and Event participation. By registering, you agree that ClickHouse and Trigger.dev may contact you regarding your registration, the Event, and related products and community resources. You may unsubscribe at any time. Registration information may be shared between ClickHouse and Trigger.dev as co-hosts of the Event.
10. Recordings & Materials
The Event may be recorded. By registering, you agree that ClickHouse and Trigger.dev may use recordings, images, and any materials you submit or present in connection with the Event for any purpose and in any medium, without compensation. Unauthorized recording or redistribution of Event content is prohibited.
11. Cancellation
We may cancel or modify the Event at any time. We are not responsible for any damages arising from such cancellation or modification. Registration fees, if any, are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Sections 5, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive any cancellation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClickHouse and Trigger.dev will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your participation in the Event. Our aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed USD $100.
13. Miscellaneous
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts of Delaware, USA. We may modify these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Event website. Your continued participation after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Event.
